Aquatech 2008 Trade mission to the Netherlands 2008 Water Management
The Dutch Portuguese Chamber of Commerce organized a trade mission from Portugal to the Netherlands around the Dutch trade fair Aquatech (1-5 October). As in previous years the Portuguese delegation consisted of decision makers in the field, both representatives of Municipalities, as well as companies, academics and technical engineers. The Aquatech fair is a showcase of water management in general, including water treatment, waste water recycling and drink water exploitation, treatment and distribution. The trade fair furthermore offered the Portuguese participants the possibility to establish potential business relations.
In addition to visiting the Aquatech fair, the Portuguese delegation also had a company visit program, visiting sewage treatment plant Geestmerambacht, Hoogheemraadschap Hollands Noorderkwartier, followed by a visit to scientific water knowledge center TTIW Wetsus and finally by a visit to water treatment plant Oldeholtpade of water company Vitens. These company visits were accompanied by a representative of DHV to whom the Dutch Portuguese Chamber of Commerce wishes to express its gratitude for their help in developing the trade mission's program.
