On the 20th of May 2027, we will celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the Dutch-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce in style with a Festive Concert & Cocktail.
We would be delighted to welcome you to this festive evening at the beautiful Convento dos Cardaes in Lisbon, a true hidden gem where history, art, and hospitality come together. Built in the 17th century and remarkably spared by the 1755 earthquake, the convent preserves an extraordinary interior adorned with gilded altars and, most notably, rare Dutch tile panels from 1692 by the Amsterdam master Jan van Oort—the only signed works of his hand in existence. These exquisite blue-and-white azulejos depict scenes from the life of Saint Teresa of Ávila, embodying the centuries-old cultural and artistic links between the Netherlands and Portugal that our Chamber of Commerce continues to celebrate today.
