Michiel Bos's 25+ Years with the Dutch-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce

With immense pride and gratitude, we celebrated Michiel’s remarkable contributions to the Dutch-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce, a journey spanning over 25 years. Born with Dutch roots and raised in the vibrant culture of Portugal, Michiel has enriched our community with his unique international perspective.

Leadership and Entrepreneurship

As Chairman of the Chamber from 2005 to 2009, Michiel played a pivotal role in driving our growth. His continued support as a Board Member remains a cornerstone of our organization. After six years in Barcelona, Michiel returned to Portugal and founded Maxitrade & Consultoria, focusing on Iberia and Portuguese-speaking African countries. This venture eventually led him to Maputo, showcasing his entrepreneurial spirit and global insight.

A Token of Our Appreciation

As a gesture of our deep appreciation, we organized a special lunch this week in the presence of our Honorary Chair, Ambassador Margriet Leemhuis and our Chairman Nuno Pinto de Magalhães and gifted Michiel Bos a beautiful sculpture called "Thank You" by Corry Ammerlaan-van Niekerk. This artwork symbolizes the handshake of friendship and partnership—a small token compared to the impact Michiel has had on our community.
