Last Wednesday, our members gathered for the Business Forum on Artificial Intelligence & Digital Transformation, an engaging and insightful event dedicated to exploring how emerging technologies are reshaping organizations and business models across industries. The forum fostered an open and accessible dialogue, combining strategic perspectives with concrete, real-world examples of AI implementation.
The session was officially opened by our Honorary Chair, Margriet Leemhuis, Ambassador of the Netherlands in Portugal, whose welcome remarks highlighted the growing importance of digital innovation and international collaboration in today’s rapidly evolving economic landscape.
The forum featured a distinguished panel of guest speakers from our member companies, who shared valuable insights from their respective sectors. André Cabral, from Philips, presented compelling examples of how artificial intelligence is being applied to improve quality of life, particularly in health and well-being solutions. Guus van Waardenburg, representing Central de Cervejas e Bebidas, illustrated how AI-driven tools are enhancing operational efficiency, supporting decision-making, and creating added value for customers. José Cruz, from Aubay Portugal, offered an in-depth perspective on the evolution of IT consulting and the skills, methodologies, and mindsets required to successfully navigate digital transformation.
The discussion was further enriched by the active participation of our members, whose thoughtful questions and contributions helped deepen the exchange of ideas and practical experiences. This dynamic interaction underscored the relevance of AI not only as a technological tool, but also as a strategic enabler for sustainable growth and innovation.
