Executive students of Organizational Management visit Portugal - Day 1
Yesterday we received a group of executive students in Organizational Management from TIAS business school. To kick-off the start of the program, the students participated in a Hackathon alongside 5 Lisbon based start-ups focused focused across a variety of areas. We kindly thank our member PwC for allowing us to host our event at the marvelous Sottomayor Palace.
Following their Panel Discussion with Dutch professionals/entrepreneurs on working and living in Portugal, the students had a chance to listen to presentations from the following start-ups:
- Agenda - Alex Griekspoor
- ChaZeMo - Pieter Ijzerman
- Clynx - Joana Pinto
- Glooma - Frederico Stock & Francisco Nogueira
- On the W.A.Y. - Rita Marques Pinto
These organizations introduced themselves and their areas of focus, while also sharing some of the challenges they currently face. The students then split into separate groups where they spent the afternoon working alongside their respective start-ups on a collaborative exercise to help find solutions to these challenges. This exercise worked to provide the start-ups with a fresh and international perspective, thus concluding the afternoon by having each group present their proposed solutions to the challenges.
We would like to thank Agenda, ChaZeMo, Clynx, Glooma, and On the W.A.Y., for participating in our Hackathon as well as another big thank you to PwC for their warmth and hospitality.
