Executive students of Public Management & Education visit Portugal - Day 1

Outubro, 2021

This week we received a group of executive students in Public Management & Education from TIAS business school. To kick off the first day of the program, the students participated in an afternoon Hackathon alongside four Lisbon based organizations/start-ups focused on various areas of the education/non-profit/public sector. We kindly thank the Hotel & Tourism School of Lisbon for hosting our event.

Following their earlier panel discussion, the students had a chance to listen to presentations from the following organizations/start-ups:

These organizations gave brief presentations on who they are, the challenges they presently face, followed by a brief Q&A. The students had the opportunity to break off into small groups and work alongside an organization on a collaborative exercise in an effort to come up with solutions to their challenges. This exercise worked to provide the organizations with a fresh and international perspective, thus concluding the afternoon with presentations from each group of students on potential solutions.

We would like to thank SpotGames, Ashoka, Future, and Forward College, for participating in our Hackathon as well as another big thank you to the Hotel & Tourism School of Lisbon for their warmth and hospitality.

In addition we would like to thank: Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Eugénio de Almeida Foundation, Estrela Borough, Inovlabs, Luís Newton | Estrela Borough
