Last 12th of July, a group of 30 of our members got the opportunity to visit the brewery of Central de Cervejas e Bebidas in Vialongo. The brewery was founded in 1934 and has been part of Heineken since 2008. The Central not only produces the national Sagres beer and the Dutch brand Heineken, but is also responsible for the commercialisation of the Italian Birra Moretti and the Irish Bandida do Pomar.

Our chairman, Nuno Pinto de Magalhães, who is also chairman of the Sociedade Central de Cervejas e Bebidas (SCC), and his team provided for a great reception, including an interesting tour and a toast. It was great to see how beer is made and to see all that the factory does.

This year is also a very special year, as Heineken celebrates its 150th Anniversary ! Congratulations !
