Who are we?
An independent agency in Hoogvliet (Rotterdam), founded in 2003, where we conduct exams in the Netherlands and far beyond with a team of employees.
EBVN stands for:
- Involvement with our clients
- Flexibility
- Short lines for you with our employees
- Reliability
Our examination staff has extensive practical experience and possesses good social skills. At EBVN we strive for continuous development of our examination staff.
What do we do?
We provide the following exams: VCA exams, High-risk exams of the SSVV (so-called SOG exams), NEN 3140 exams (electricity) and the Scaffolding exams. We also develop all kinds of exams for external parties. The largest part of our work consists of conducting exams in the field of safety. In total, there are 1.5 million people in the Netherlands who have passed an exam in the context of the Safety Checklist Contractors (VCA). This is also happening more and more outside the Netherlands, for example when employees go to work for a Dutch client or come to the Netherlands for work. EBVN organizes more than 2,500 exam moments annually, including monthly in Porto and Lisbon.
You could say that in addition to our Dutch driving license, the VCA diploma is the most well-known and sought-after document, also outside the Netherlands!
Who do we do it for?
For Operational employees this is Basic Safety VCA (B-VCA) and for employees from the level of cooperating foreman this is Safety for Operational Managers (VOL-VCA). Employees can prepare themselves with self study (book or e-learning), but also by means of a one-day course. The exam takes place in different languages and can also be held at locations outside the Netherlands (so also in Portugal...). Has the employee obtained the diploma? Then it is valid for 10 years and is also included in the Central Diploma Register. In the CDR, clients can see who has a valid VCA diploma. Many employees from other European countries who work in the Netherlands have a VCA diploma.
Additional information about the VCA diploma
Employees with the VCA diploma can perform work in, for example: (petro)chemical, transport, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, (scaffolding) construction, civil engineering, metal, process industry, insulation, transport, industrial cleaning, shipbuilding and maintenance.
In these sectors, main contractors often require employees to have a valid VCA diploma. Also from the personnel that is hired.Although the VCA diploma is not a legal requirement in the Netherlands, it is required by many main and subcontractors.
